Dear jerk,
My connection isn't great. I get a lot of lag on good days. With Noblegarden going on and the server even fuller than usual collecting eggs has been a pain in the ass. That would be the reason I found myself a corner no one else was camping where I could set my little bunny butt down and camp the last hundred eggs I needed.
Then you saw me.
You liked my spot.
You set your pet off to the side where it will obscure the view of anyone who might look over and stand right on top of me and steal every egg that pops up.
I shoot you a curt but polite PM about this and you're silent. I just want to finish my last hundred eggs so I can be one mount closer to my dragonhawk, and am getting frustrated. You continue to swipe every egg out from under me.
I go back to running laps picking up non-camped eggs.
Ten minutes later you're screeching all-caps in /1 about getting the mount in an egg. Whatever, the RNG tends to favor douchebags...
...but then you make a point of FINDING ME and running in circles around me with it for the next few minutes /waving while I'm trying to keep farming these awful chocolates?
May all your rare pet spawns be ninja'd by people as rude as you.

P.S. Joke's on you. After you marched your butt out of my corner it took all of 15 minutes for me to get the rest of the chocolates I needed. I named my new strider Winfrey and have avoided flying since I got him just to watch his pretty blue tail wiggle when he walks. |

I miss the days when doing Holiday events was actually FUN and instead of this insane competition with the entire server's population of Alliance and Horde
so do I, though I have to admit I'm also glad that my alts can do this one withOUT level-cap only boss fights or PVP requirements.
Agreed. I don't mind collecting stuff even if it is tedious, but Blizzard HAS to know it brings out the worst in people and I feel like they set the bar way too high for this event. :/
Before the advent of Achievements, I enjoy doing Holiday quests, so much that my guild always calls me the weird one. So much fun in doing them... until Achievements spoiled it for me
I was in Mulgore On my 34 Druid.. I had a NE Druid in flight form stalking me at one point. :(
I don't even understand why a person would do that. :I 280% or 310% movement speed to do a circuit and they chose to pick on someone slower moving? That's terrible.
Idk, I got the impression they were just trying to rub Flight Form in tbh. It was one of the only problems I ran into while doing the event, and even then I beat them to most eggs. :)
The people using flight form or mounts annoy me much less than ghost wolves and cheetahs, really - the fast run forms are fast enough to get to eggs first yet slow enough for their players to SEE the eggs, while people on mounts or in flight form go straight past at least 2/3 of the eggs in my experience. :)
The downside to cheetahs and ghost wolves is that they're slower than the basket boost without actually stacking with it. I slapped the basket on my actionbar and spammed it while I was running- its CD and its duration are the same so you can be constantly moving at that higher rate of speed and outpace the hunters/druids/shamans who aren't using it.
Of course, none of this matters if you're running in place from lag. :C
I don't even bother with the basket, to be honest. :P :) Maybe it's just me and the way my mind/eyes/reflexes work, but I find I get SO MANY more eggs by going around Brill or Falconwing Square at a reasonably slow pace, shifting my viewpoint around as necessary to look in all the places eggs get missed. (Falconwing Square, I'm looking straight down all the time except when I'm near those two carts - there's ALWAYS one or two eggs underneath that nobody else notices in time. Brill, I go much slower and shift my view around more because there are eggs almost hidden in thick bushes, on windowsills, balanced on lamp posts etc etc that don't get spotted by all the speedsters.) :) | |
