Dear fucktards with no lives,

I didn't want to be on a PvP server. I LOATHE open world PvP, especially the joke of a "system" that WoW has... that really seems to amount to "Oh, yeah, level 90s can camp level 50s. That seems legit." It doesn't make the game in any way interesting. AT ALL. THERE IS NOTHING INTERESTING ABOUT THIS MECHANIC.

Sadly, I have a level 52 that has been 52 for ages because every single quest area at this level is a leveling area for BOTH factions. I can handle this! I don't mind. I don't kill people, I quest quickly, I'm okay at kiting people around generally that are at my level. All I want to do is hit 55 so I can make a DK on another server and never experience open world PvP again.

But seriously? You've just been sitting on my head. Every time I res, you wait out the stupidly short "honorless target" debuff and then kill me again. I'd love to run dungeons for this but every time I try people just intentionally wipe groups or do other stupid shit.

It's really telling that, when they polled gamers who quit games, an overwhelming majority of them couldn't handle the community of their chosen game. I am not going to pay real life money to transfer this character to another server JUST SO I CAN GAIN 3 LEVELS.

Kindly go fuck yourselves,
Setiawan, shouting ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS every 5 minutes.

EDIT: Because apparently I forgot this:

This character exists because I was leveling with friends. Who promptly quit. I decided to hit 55 on him because he was 50 (at the time) and it seemed like a waste to make a whole new alt (since I wanted to roll a DK anyway).

Not to be a douche but... PVP server. People are gonna be douchey. They usually are on PVP servers.

Is there any way you can quest at non-peak hours? During the day there's usually not many people around.

To second a bit of this the forum rules: no slurs. I get that you're frustrated (I would never go on a PVP server for that exact reason), but that doesn't excuse a lack of mindfulness in your language.

Keep it classy. Even if the pvpers can't.

Hi. Mod here. I understand the sentiment behind your comment but if you have a problem with language being used by someone here, please contact us through PM and we'll handle it. Thanks.

That really sucks. I transferred off a PvP realm because CRZ made levelling horrible. I used to level in less popular zones intentionally to try to avoid world PvP before that, though.

You have my sympathies; no way in hell would I roll on a PvP realm.

Still, if you're having that much trouble just picking up those three levels, it might be worth it to go ahead and reroll a level 1 on a PvE realm -- if you're getting camped all the time and dungeons aren't working for you, then it might be less time and frustration to start over.

I'm sure you've thought of this, but I figure it might be worth hearing from someone else. I'm a trained, professional economist, and I can still fall victim to the sunk cost fallacy.

Eh, there are people who like open world PvP and there's nothing wrong with that. If you loathe it I'm not sure why it's surprising that it's a frustrating experience for you.
People can't magically smell that you don't want to be on that server. They're going to treat you like everyone else and that's okay - they went to a PvP server for a reason.

It's more about the fact that I was getting camped by a level 90 in a level 50 zone that I had picked specifically because it was a low population zone. I can handle "legitimate" world PvP (which is to say, getting killed by people at or around my level who are questing in the same zone as me), I just wish Blizzard would do something to prevent max level players from camping zones.

But that's legitimate world PvP too. When you get camped on PvP servers you ask your guildies/friends to help you, or rally some strangers from the cities (people on PvP servers usually are like bloodhounds, scream for help once and you might just have started a small faction war), or find ways to sneak away from the level 90 (a skill I learned early on and that still comes in handy during holiday achievements). Blizz has always said they wont interfer with it, so we're the ones that have to learn how to deal with it.

Though I wanted to add I am sorry that you're having such a hard time, I don't mean to blame you for being frustrated. I hope you find a way to level that char!

Have you considered leveling in BGs? Structured PvP is such a different animal from random world PvP. Maybe queue for Isle of Conquest and just sit in a cannon and defend the gates.

I was going to second this. It seems counterproductive to work out PVP frustration by doing more PVP, but at least you won't be griefed by max levelers and in the larger BGs you can largely avoid PVP contact completely.

I levelled my DK and retired warlock alts mostly through BGs. It was a nice change of pace!

... funny, I've never had a problem rolling a DK on any server I want. Did they change it recently?

AFAIK, you still have to have at least one character at level 55 or higher on your account to roll a DK.

Ah, I missed the part where OP was playing on a new account. Still, it is more feasible for me to level to 80+ on a PvE server than to level on a PvP server to roll a DK there... (I never did like PvP in any format.)

I had made a new account so my friend could RAF (I didn't have any of the new expansions anyway), so I didn't have any other characters.

Was that account tied to your battle.net ID?
