Dear_Gnome: An open letter community for WoW
Dear group I had for Mara last night,|
I zoned in on a kitty alt (one of the many I've resurrected now that heirlooms are mailable) about halfway through the first section. The tank was a little monk who valiantly forged ahead and after nearly tearing the mobs off him first pull, I realised all of you (with the exception of a warrior in hunter heirloom shoulders) were in all quest greens. So I dialed right back and started only swiping every once in a while. Mobs died, we progressed smoothly, no one spoke and we downed the final boss for the quarterly dungeon achieve.
And then you little tanky, turned the corner and kept going. And going. And going! We started to slowly roll along more of the dungeon, old school style! You became a little lost and turned around in the endless cavernous pathways but I stealthed and padded ahead, plopping my kitty butt on the floor in front of the correct passages and you dutifully followed. In fact the whole group did. And when we finished with the princess and I bounced down the waterfall for the crocodile boss, one of the DPS finally spoke up.
"I've never done so much of this dungeon before!"
"Me neither! It's so cool!" said another.
And the talking began. Bless your little green-covered selves. I think that nearly all of you were new. Your eyes were so bright and shiny and it was the best run I've had on a lowbie alt in years. And even if I've misjudged and you weren't new, your excitement and awe at such a huge dungeon was wonderful and refreshing.
Thank you all, for making a BC player's evening.
