Dear RPers in Silvermoon City last night,

I don't consider myself the RP police OR the language police. If, as part of your in-game immersive experience, your character wants to use some unbecoming gender-specific insults, and you and your RP partner are both on board with that, I've got no problem with that whatsoever.

But PLEASE keep it out of /yell. I'm trying to do my daily auctions and it's hard with someone screaming obscenities in my pointy ears.

Signed,
Disgruntled bank elf

Urf...yeeeeeah, when my toon is yelling, regardless of what it is, I capslock it and put it in /say so long as who I'm yelling at is within /say range. /yell is seen/heard by everyone in the zone, no need to clutter up someone else's chatlog with my stuff if I don't have to.

I never use /yell for any IC yell. It makes much more sense to do it:

John yells, "Hey! You! Stop!"

BLUH why do people do such silly things. Just put it in allcaps in /say or go /e yells "CEASE AND DESIST WITH THE GROSS PROFANITY, YOU OBNOXIOUS HOOLIGANS"

...I will admit to actually /yelling that back at cussy folk IC. My n'elf DK, like many elves, has sensitive ears and doesn't see why vocal capslock is necessary. :B
