Dear Raid Leader for my Celestials group today;
No, the bear tank that pulled with 30-ish of the 40 man group there isn't an 'asshole'. He was a tank, DPS were there, and all the healers were there. Pulling with a bunch of DPS not even on the Isle isn't being an asshole - it's being considerate to the other people in the raid who weren't lazy and queued up for the group expecting a summons. You're right, I didn't summon them. I was on the isle before I queued. I did, however, put a closet up, because I'm a Warlock and that (plus Healthstones) is pretty much all people seem to think I'm good for.
The queue time as DPS is less than 5 mins, if that. I waited in queue for less than 2.
Don't be an asshole, and grump at people who were already there and had already waited over 10 minutes for people who couldn't be bothered to click a flightpoint or a trinket and make their way out there, instead of...you know...sitting in Shrine and waiting for a summons.
And special props to the guy who whispered me on Ordos, after another person getting invited caused my stone to vanish literally 20 seconds after I cast it, with 'hey dick, do your fucking job and drop another closet'. This is right after I put in Raid chat (after several posts "New closet, other one's gone" "New TV" "Lock need a new closet") "Sorry, waiting on the 2 Min CD, need another minute or so".
And people wonder why hardly anyone plays Warlocks anymore.
May Magma Crush give you Repair Bills for being an inconsiderate jackass,
The Warlock that HASN'T forgotten her manners.
Oh man. Sounds like my buddy from the other day, or one of his minions. Sorry you had to deal with a dick.
i play a lock. i know your pain Q_Q
I feel your pain on the warlock thing; reminds me of the bad old days of warlocking where each summon took a soul shard. 40-man faction leader raids with high turnover could get... interesting.
I disagree on the Celestial pull part, though. Cutting a quarter of the raid out from the thing they signed on for is pretty rude. If you don't want to wait for people to get to the isle, then don't invite people who are on the isle. Of course, the tank probably wasn't the one doing the inviting, but still... he could have waited, but he was too impatient, and as a result 10 people get screwed over and their time input COMPLETELY trashed. Sounds like the definition of rude to me.
*don't invite people who are not on the isle, I mean. I've had this happen to me -- guildie asked if anyone would come help Celestials, I hop on the flight path, nobody responds to requests for summons, and by the time I get there it's already done and I'm standing on the shore like a simile for a thing that is out of place.
