Dear_Gnome: An open letter community for WoW
Dear Luuot - Nagrand,

"I can do what I want" goes both ways. You, although you were a paladin, decided to Need-roll over a druid on a leather belt. Of course you won it, and when the druid asked why you rolled, that was the answer you gave. When they asked if you'd trade, you refused, and /laughed.

You began running ahead of the group and pulling. The healer told you to cut it out and let the tank pull. Your answer?

"I can do what I want". Then you asked us what we were going to do about it, shortly before charging off again. And well, since you were doing what you wanted, the rest of us decided we'd do the same. So we did what we wanted, and away you went.

I'm sure you didn't learn, and will continue to "do what you want" in future dungeons, but kicking you just felt really, really good.

I'm pretty sure he was doing it to either be a troll, or he had an alt somewhere that he wanted to gear. Either way, that's pretty assholish. I really do wish Blizz would block Needing on things you can't or shouldn't use at all. I had a warlock in a group once who Needed on Plate, 2-handed weapons, you name it, and no one would kick her. I won't speculate as to why.

Probably trolling, since the belt was a boss drop and he couldn't have sent it to any alts.

It'd be nice if Vanilla dungeons worked the same way it does from Outland on now. That is to say, you can't Need on things you can't/shouldn't use.

They'd only make that change to Vanilla dungeons if there was more intellect leather and mail gear for the resto/balance druids, mist monks, and resto/ele shammys. The only way I'd generally get upgrades for those toons until BC was rolling on cloth items (got a priest so mad at me for rolling on a pair of pants on my ele shammy that he refused to heal her, so I dropped the group and kept the pants).
